Do I have USB 3.0 on my Mac computer? If you have a 2012 Mac or newer you are already working with USB 3.0 ports. I have a Lenovo USB 3.0 dock (model DU9019D1). I'm trying to connect a USB monitor to the dock and connect the dock to my MacBook. I downloaded the DisplayLink driver from here: https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/macos

Currently, I'm able to mirror my display, but there is an issue with extending the display. I can drag my mouse from the Retina display screen to the external monitor, but the screen is black. If I try to drag a window over to the external monitor, I don't see the window and only the mouse. Is there a solution for this?
